The Barracuda Championship is now accepting player entries for the Reno Open, scheduled for May 17-18, at Washoe Golf Course. The tournament offers professional and amateur golfers a chance to compete for an exemption into the 18th annual Barracuda Championship PGA TOUR.
“We brought back the Reno Open last year and it was so well received,” said Chris Hoff, executive director of the Barracuda Championship. “It’s a pretty incredible chance for both amateur and professional golfers to have the chance to play alongside renowned PGA TOUR professionals like John Daly, JJ Henry and Geoff Ogilvy.”
In addition to the chance of winning an exemption, players will compete for a piece of the $10,000 purse (based on 100 entrants) during the two-day Modified Stableford format tournament. Entry is $600 per person and includes a two-night stay at Eldorado Resort Casino and breakfast and lunch on both days.
Early registration is encouraged as space is limited. To reserve a spot in the tournament or for more information about any of the Barracuda Championship events visit www.BarracudaChampionship.com.
The 18th annual Barracuda Championship, an official PGA TOUR event, takes place June 27 through July 3, 2016 at Montrêux Golf & Country Club in Reno, Nev.
All proceeds from both tournaments benefit The First Tee of Northern Nevada, a youth development organization that teaches life skills and leadership through golf, as well as the Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation.
