Reno carded a team score of 409 to win the first High Desert League boys golf tournament of the season on Wednesday afternoon at Wildcreek Golf Course.
Defending HDL champ, Reed, finished second with a team score of 435. Spanish Springs (448) finished third in front of McQueen (486) and North Valleys (541). Hug did not have enough golfers to turn in a team score.
KC Daylo fired an 80 to lead the Raiders. He was followed by Brandon Forman (87), Cade Baker (89), Jimmy Harris (89) and Andrew Emerson (90).
Nick Frankoski’s 85 was the Cougars’ lowest score. Pat Penrod (87), Logan Cox (87), Chase Martin (91) and Austin Woods (98) followed.
Reno’s Ryan Forderhase earned medalist honors with a 77.
The HDL circuit is on bye the next two weeks for the Washoe County School District’s spring break before starting back up Tuesday, April 4, at Somersett.
