Spanish Springs remains red hot after picking up two more wins last week.
The Cougs had six players reach the back of the net in a 9-0 win over Hug Saturday, including two goals each by Kayla Guzman, Ashlee Pittard, and Coriana Matthews.
Guzman also scored earlier in the week during a 3-1 win at North Valleys, while Alyssa Marlow and Kendall Teigns each knocked one in for the visitors.
Spanish Springs improved to 7-2-3 with the wins.
Reed
Entering Saturday’s game against McQueen, The Raiders hadn’t won a game since Sept. 16 when they beat Wooster 5-0. That trend continued against the Lancers as they fell 1-0 at home.
Last Tuesday, senior Lauryn Shipp scored in the first half for Reed in their matchup against Reno, but the Huskies forced a 1-1 draw with a goal of their own in the second.
The Raiders played Hug on Tuesday and will take on Spanish Springs Saturday at home.
Sparks
Sparks suffered its third straight loss Saturday when they fell to Lowry at home 1-0. The team was also shut out by Incline 6-0 last Wednesday at Greater Nevada Field in Reno.
With the losses, the Railroaders fell to 2-11-1 overall.
