Reed won its second straight game last Thursday with a 42-6 blowout of Hug at home, making them winners of four out of the last five down the stretch.
The Raiders put the Hawks away early after racing out to a 28-0 first quarter lead. Quarterback Cameron Emerson led his team once again with four total touchdowns. The senior passed for two on 138 yards through the air and also ran for two, finishing with 34 rushing yards. Jayden Scott and Dominic Wrede both caught a touchdown pass while Scott and Champ Robertson both ran for a score. Aidan Sawyer was a perfect 6 for 6 on extra points.
On defense, Brandon Biggs led the way with seven tackles and two sacks.
Reed (7-2, 3-1) is tied for second with Spanish Springs in the High Desert League standings. The two playoff-bound teams will meet up Friday night to determine the top seed in the postseason that begins next week.
