Playoff seedings are set to be determined this week as the regular season in the 4A North looks to be a wild finish.
There are three teams tied at the top of the High Desert League at 12-2, Spanish Springs, McQueen and Reno, with just two games remaining. The Cougs have a slight advantage as they’ll be hosting them both. They played Reno yesterday and finish up with Reed on Friday.
The Cougs got to the 12-win mark by knocking off North Valleys 53-18 last Tuesday and beating Hug on Friday, 70-24.
The Raiders have locked up the fourth seed already after dropping two games last week. They fell 59-45 at Reno last Tuesday despite 19 points from Serene Townsell-Williams.
On Friday, Reed couldn’t hold a fourth quarter lead and lost to McQueen on its Senior Night, 53-47. The Raiders hosted Hug yesterday and could have an impact on the final league standings after its game with rival Spanish Springs Friday.
