The Reed High softball team picked up three conference wins over the last week in blowout fashion to improve to 5-4 in High Desert League play.
Alexi Carrasco and Alycia Coats each belted a home run and a double last Thursday as the Raiders cruised to a 15-0 win. Coats led the team with three hits and five RBIs while Carrasco knocked in two runs. Carla Hernandez had two hits and three RBIs in the win. Tyra Clary continued her dominance in the circle with four innings of two hit ball and five strikeouts.
Rain washed away a pair of games on Saturday against Galena, but the games were made up on Monday and the Raiders won 18-0 and 13-3.
Aliya Lange surrendered just three hits in the first game and struck out a pair in a complete game effort. Lange did it with the bat as well with a home run, two singles and four RBIs while Hernandez also added a home run, double, single and drove in a pair. Coats tallied three singles in the win.
In the second game the offense continued its onslaught by posting seven first inning runs. Coats led the way with a home run, double and six RBIs while teammate Jackie Garcia also connected for a home run during a four-hit three-RBI performance.
Reed (8-8-2, 5-4) sits in third place in the High Desert League and will host Damonte Ranch tomorrow at 3:45 p.m.
