Makayla Linebarger, Reed Track and Field Reed’s senior pole vaulter shattered the state record on Saturday at the 45th Annual Fallon Elks Invitational. Linebarger cleared a height of 13-06, nearly a whole foot higher than the previous record of 12-08, set by Wooster’s Alexis Romero three years ago. Reed boys take first at regionals, girls fourth
The Reed boys track team literally ran away from the field in Saturday’s DI North regional meet at Carson to claim its first regional title since 1999. The Raiders scored 181.5 points, well ahead of runner-up McQueen (121) and third-place Damonte Ranch (87). Reed hosted its annual Rotary Invitational Track Meet this weekend and both the boys and girls looked like regional title contenders.
