The Centennial Juniors All-Star team went 2-2 at the West Regional Tournament in Vancouver, Wash., this weekend but was unable to escape pool play.
Centennial opened the tournament with a 10-2 rout of Alaska but was handed a taste of its own medicine on Thursday with a 15-5 loss to Northern California. The local squad was hurt by 13 walks in the loss.
On Saturday, CLL had the tying run on first with one out in the seventh inning against Hawaii but was unable to push the run across in a 4-3 loss that ultimately was the team’s undoing.
Playing only for pride, CLL routed Montana 10-0 on Sunday behind Tristian Dahir’s no-hitter.
The north Sparks all-star team finished the summer 16-2, losing only in the regional tournament.
