Week 3 DI North boys hoops Power Rankings

1. Carson Senators (7-2)

What a week for the Senators. Carson won the Rail City Classic with an impressive win over a good Placer (Calif.) team in the title game and controlled Spanish Springs from tip, on the road, in a DI North game on Thursday.

2. Bishop Manogue (4-3)

The Miners dropped a couple close games in the Battle of the Foothills at Ponderosa High over the weekend against quality competition. Can Carson and Bishop Manogue just play each other now?

3. Galena Grizzlies (7-2)

It was a rough week for the Grizzlies in the Rail City Classic. They were handled by Placer and Dougherty Valley, admittedly good teams, but losses worthy of a drop from the No. 1 spot.

4. Spanish Springs Cougars (3-4)

The Cougars had their toughest week of the season and took it on the chin. They lost tough DI North contests to Bishop Manogue and Carson followed by a non-league loss to a nationally ranked opponent. All the losses were at home.

5. Douglas Tigers (3-3)

A handful of teams could go in this spot. The Tigers get the nod this week.
