The 21st annual Brew HaHa beer tasting and entertainment fundraiser at the Nugget Casino Resort raised nearly $39,000 for Sierra Arts Foundation.
The money raised at Brew HaHa allows Sierra Arts Foundation to provide support for area artists and community arts programs, such as Arts in Education, the Elder Care Concert Series and the Arts Integration Project.
“Brew HaHa is our biggest fundraiser of the year,” said Annie Zucker, executive director of Sierra Arts Foundation. “We wouldn’t be able to continue many of our community programs without the financial support we receive from this event.”
The Nugget works closely with the foundation to put on the event each year. Breweries and local beverage distributors donate all of the beer for the event, and local businesses donate raffle prizes.
“It’s wonderful to see this event raise the money necessary to continue critically important arts programs in our community,” said Carlton Geer, president and CEO of the Nugget.
The next Brew HaHa is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 27, 2017.
