The Reed boys golf team is the High Desert League champion.
The Raiders turned in a team scored of 419 on their home course, Hidden Valley, on Wednesday to win the league tournament, and title.
Reed has now won all four league tournaments this season after failing to accomplish the feat once in at least the last six years.
Reed’s score was 33 strokes better than runner-up McQueen (452), which edged Reno by just three strokes. Spanish Springs took fourth with a 468 and North Valleys finished fifth (517). Hug is yet to turn in a team score this year.
Nathan Dayton (Reed) carded an 80 to earn medalist honors. It’s the third time this season a Reed golfer finished first overall. Jayce Robinson shot a 75 in the first tournament of the year at Somersett to finish first and Brandon Forman shot a 77 to earn the honor at Washoe.
Jimmy Harris (81), Forman (83), Cade Baker (85) and Robinson (90) rounded out Reed’s card.
Logan Cox shot a 91 to lead Spanish Springs. Pat Penrod (92), Payne Avera (93), Jake Brennan (95) and Nick Frankoski (97) followed.
The regular season concludes with tournaments at Red Hawk next Tuesday and Wildcreek (May 4) before the regional tournament May 9-10 at ArrowCreek and Somersett.
