Reed’s Jayce Robinson followed Tuesday’s 77 with an 80 on Wednesday in the second and final round of the state tournament at Reflection Bay in Henderson, Nev.
The two-day total of 155 earned him a share of 23rd place in the 51-golfer field.
Only four golfers from Northern Nevada finished in front of Robinson. Bishop Manogue’s Olli Osborne shot a 147 to finish sixth overall. Galena’s Presley Mackelburg (152) finished in a tie for 12th. His teammate, Scott Rescigno, finished in a tie for 14th with a 153. And Bishop Manogue’s Cole Skach finished in a tie for 18th with a 155.
Two other Rail City golfers competed at the state tournament. Nate Daylo (Reed) earned a share of 30th place with a two-day total of 161 and Nick Frankoski (Spanish Springs) finished in 48th place with a 187.
Jack Trent of Palo Verde won the individual state title. He finished with a 5-under 139.
Palo Verde also won the team state title (736), in front of Coronado (762) and Arbor View (763). Galena (787) finished fourth in the six-team field. Bishop Manogue (806) finished fifth.
