The last chance to provide feedback for the 2040 Regional Transportation Plan is nigh.
The Reno Transportation Commission is hosting the final community planning workshop for the 2040 agenda Thursday from 5-7 p.m. in the Bonanza Room at The Nugget.
The purpose of the workshop is to receive feedback on plans that are in the works for the upcoming draft, as well as draw out other ideas.
Discussion topics will have “dramatic implications,” on Sparks and Spanish Springs, RTC Public Information Officer Joe Harrington said.
“This plan really helps us guide dollars to projects the public really wants and needs the most,” he added.
Potential future plans that will be discussed will include a new road connecting Spanish Springs to I80 at Mustang, a new road connecting Spanish Springs to North Valleys and I395, a rail service, increased options to and from the Reno-Tahoe Airport and expanded bus service.
Parking to the forum at The Nugget will be free to the public.
