Monday, locally based Silverwing Development joined by Sparks Mayor Geno Martini, Sparks City Council members and invited guests celebrated the opening of the Fountainhouse at Victorian Square. The 236 unit multi-family, luxury, urban style community is the first new residential development to be built in the heart of Sparks’ Victorian Square.
“This is truly an historic and exciting time for the City of Sparks and Victorian Square,” said Sparks Mayor Geno Martini. “On behalf of the City of Sparks, I welcome our new residents to this beautiful community. It’s been several decades since we’ve had any new residential development in the heart of Sparks, and Silverwing Development has built a beautiful place for residents to enjoy as the renaissance of the City continues.”
Currently, one of the largest complexes finishing construction, Fountainhouse is a high density urban lifestyle community transforming Victorian Square into a walkable town center with housing, retail and entertainment options. Approximately 50 of the units have been leased since pre-leasing activity began in May with full occupancy expected in the spring of 2017. Move-in for the first tenants will begin on Saturday, Aug. 6.
“The partnership we’ve built with the City of Sparks has been key in bringing the Fountainhouse to Victorian Square,” said J Carter Witt, president of Silverwing Development. “As the first new ground up residential community to be built in Sparks in many years, we have designed a unique community with a number of resident amenities-best yet this will be quickly followed by additional living options including additional commercial space that will make Victorian Square the most upscale modern district in Northern Nevada.”
Prospective tenants can select from nine distinct floorplans including 1 bedroom/1 bath, 2 bedroom/ 2 baths and 2 bedroom/ 2.5 baths. Units will be fully alarmed for fire protection. Residences have the option of direct/indirect access garages or covered parking spaces. All residences have an outdoor deck/patio (some plans will have 2 decks).
The community caters to upscale tenants looking to live in a vibrant, active and self-contained community.
Fountainhouse is within walking distance from restaurants, shopping and entertainment, and is just a 15-minute drive away from the rapidly expanding Tahoe Reno Industrial Center (TRI) as well as downtown Reno-with two on and off ramps from I-80 within a couple blocks of the location.
This community represents a $35 million investment in downtown Sparks with 8,400 square feet of retail accompanying the 236 luxury units.
