The final week of the regular season is here.
Bishop Manogue has clinched the Sierra League title and Reno is one win from wrapping up the HDL.
The No. 2, 3 and 4 seeds are still very much up for grabs. In the HDL, Spanish Springs, Reed and McQueen will be the other three playoff teams. Spanish Springs and Reed will likely play for the No. 2 seed on Friday night.
In the Sierra League, Carson, Douglas, Galena and Damonte Ranch are fighting for three playoff spots. The four squads are separated by just two games.

Last week: 1
2. Reno Huskies (21-4, 13-1)
The Huskies haven’t rolled through league play quite as easily as the Miners, but they’ve been close.
Reno can clinch the HDL title with a home win over Spanish Springs tonight
Last week: 2
3. Reed Raiders (16-5, 10-4)
Reed bounced back from a loss to Reno with a dominating 60-28 home win over McQueen on Friday night. Somehow, the Raiders lost the first matchup between the two teams in Northwest Reno.
The Raiders sit in third place in the HDL, but can move in to the No. 2 spot with wins this week over Hug and Spanish Springs (who they beat in the first meeting).
Last week: 3
4. Spanish Springs Cougars (17-7, 11-3)
The Cougs have a brutal close to the regular season.
They go to Reno tonight, then go to Reed on Friday night. The cross-town rivalry contest will likely determine who opens on the postseason at home, and who has to go on the road.
Last week: 4
5. McQueen Lancers (15-9, 9-5)
The Lancers are trending in the wrong direction at the wrong time.
Three losses in the last four games eliminated McQueen from the ability to open the playoffs at home. Now, it’s about trying to find a way out of the No. 4 seed and opening the postseason at Bishop Manogue.
A home contest against Reno in the final game of the regular season on Friday night is a tall order.
