Boy Scout Troop 3328 of the Nevada Area Council has had a number of busy days at the 2017 National Jamboree being held in West Virginia at the Summit Bechtel Reserve.
Scout Will Pelham, of Sparks, reports that over the past several days, Troop 3328 has been involved in several activities. They went rafting on the New River. Its rapids are rated Class 2 and Class 3. The Scouts also hiked to the top of Garden Ground Mountain where they participated in the first American Scout camp, Highland games and other activities.
They have attended a concert by the “Class A” band, composed of Eagle Scouts. On Saturday, Scouts participated in events of their choosing before attending another concert by the band “X Ambassadors.” The Jamboree continues through Friday, July 28.
