Swing your clubs for a good cause at the Sparks Mayor’s Cup Golf Tournament happening Oct. 20 at Red Hawk Golf and Resort. The fun begins with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. on the Lakes Course. Proceeds benefit Sparks Youth Scholarship Fund which assists at-risk youth in the community who have limited access to recreational programs due to financial hardships.
Now in its 15th year, the Mayor’s Cup Golf Tournament features a four-person scramble format. There will be hole-in-one prizes and contests for closest to the hole and longest drive. An awards luncheon sponsored by Hometown Health and Renown Health will follow the play.
The Mayor’s Cup entry fee is $100 per player. Golf hole sponsorships with signage are available for $100 each. Download the entry form online at www.cityofsparks.us or pick up a copy at any City of Sparks recreation facility, as well as at Sparks City Hall, 431 Prater Way.
