
The Reed boys soccer team won its third straight game last Wednesday when they beat Damonte Ranch 2-0.

Boys: The Cougar boys won a pair of games via the shutout last week to improve to 6-0 on the young season.
Lucca Casci, Kevin Garad, Wilmer Hernandez, Jose Valdivia and Ivan Lara all reached the back of the net in a 5-0 win over Douglas Sept. 15 before a 3-0 win over Bishop Manogue last Wednesday. Spanish Springs got three second half goals from Allen Somera, Christopher Lugo-Ramirez and Jesus Macias in the win.
Girls: After a 3-1 loss to Douglas on Sept. 15, the Spanish Springs girls soccer team rebounded with a 3-1 win at Bishop Manogue last Tuesday.
After the two teams traded goals in the first half, the Cougs (2-3-1) scored twice in the second half to seal the win.
Both the boys and girls play on the road at Hug Saturday.
Reed
Boys: The Raiders (8-4, 0-1) won their third straight game last Wednesday after scoring a pair of first-half goals to knock off Damonte Ranch 2-0 at home. Reed posted a 3-1 win over Bishop Manogue and a 3-0 win against Douglas the week before.
However, the win streak came to an end Saturday after falling 3-0 at McQueen.
Reed plays at Hug today and will host Reno Saturday.
Girls: Kiki Finn scored a second-half goal on an assist from teammate Gillian Grant to lift the Raider girls to a 1-0 win at McQueen Saturday. Grant recorded six saves in the shutout win that snapped a three-game losing skid for Reed.
The Raiders (3-5, 1-0) fell 1-0 late in the contest Tuesday against Damonte Ranch. The team played at Hug yesterday and will host Reno Saturday.
Sparks
Boys: The Railroaders hosted and won a pair of games over the weekend to improve to 6-1 in league play.
Sparks (6-3-1, 6-1) netted three first-half goals and cruised to a 4-1 win over Spring Creek Friday before scoring a goal in each half Saturday to take out Elko, 2-0.
The boys hit the road yesterday to battle North Tahoe and play at Truckee Friday.
Girls: The Railroader girls are still seeking their first win of the season after falling to Elko 4-0 on the road Saturday.
Sparks (0-10, 0-6) hosted North Tahoe yesterday and plays Truckee Friday.
