Reed suffered three losses last week to fall to 1-7 overall on the young season.
The Raiders smacked four home runs on Saturday in the second game of a doubleheader but it wasn’t enough as they fell to Carson, 19-9. Freshman Cameron Altimus connected with two long balls and had three hits overall and three RBIs in the loss. The other two home runs came off the bats of Hilana Ely and Jillian Kygar.
Emely Gonzalez also hit a home run in game one and Trinity Cossette collected two hits but the Raiders lost 6-5.
The Raiders dropped a close game on Thursday to Bishop Manogue after surrendering two runs in the bottom of the seventh to lose 2-1.
They host Hug tomorrow and play two at Galena Saturday.
Spanish Springs
The Cougs split a doubleheader Saturday with McQueen and topped Reno two days earlier to improve to 5-2 overall this season and 2-1 in league play.
Spanish Springs plated six runs in the fifth inning and four in the sixth to beat the Lancers 11-4 in the second game Saturday after falling 8-4 in game one.
They scored one in the first and sixth to beat Reno 2-0 Thursday.
The Cougs hosted Fernley yesterday and are off the rest of the week.
