The following are highlights from the March 18, 2024, special Sparks City Council Meeting.
Council approved:
- The five-year Capital Improvement Plan for Fiscal Years 2025 through 2029.
- A $9,384,161.00 construction contract with K7 Construction for Fire Station 6.
- A grant agreement with the Nevada Housing Division to provide $2,621,000.00 of Home Means Nevada Initiative funds to purchase a nearly one-acre parcel located at 306 10th Street, as well as the purchase agreement with the landowner for the parcel.
- A resolution considering a Development and Financing Agreement with 5 Ridges Development Company, Inc. for a proposed special Improvement District No. 1 located at 555 Highland Ranch Parkway, and considering respective side agreements between the City of Sparks and QK, LLC, Lennar Reno, LLC, Paradiso Legacy Springs, LLC and Paradiso Legacy Vista, LLC.
