Whatever the outcome of the Australian Open tennis tournament, it was good to see a smiling Rod Laver sitting in a prominent spot in the stadium named for him. One of the most long-lasting and talented performers to appear in the Northern Nevada area is celebrating his 90th trip around the sun this July 9.
