Reed demolished North Valleys Friday night on the road, 64-7.
The Raiders were up 51-0 at half and put two more touchdowns on the board in the second half. North Valleys’ only touchdown came in the third quarter.
“We just executed at such a high level the entire game. It just goes to show how hard they’ve been working in practice,” Reed coach Ernie Howren said. “If we have guys go down with injuries we just find a way to have somebody else step in and take their place and that guy does a great job. We had that again tonight.”
Reed senior quarterback Matt Denn wasn’t asked to do much through the air as the Raiders ran all over the Panthers. He led an offensive unit that put up a season-high 64 points.
“We’ve been going really fast and really hard in practice and it’s definitely been transferring over to the games,” Denn said.
With the win, the Raiders improved their perfect season to 7-0, 2-0 in the DI North. North Valleys dropped to 1-5, 0-2. Next week, the Raiders travel to Hug in hopes of continuing their undefeated season.
“The biggest game is always the next game we have coming up. That’s our focus now, Hug,” Howren said.
“For me personally, Gorman is the goal in the end,” Denn said. “We want to get there and then we want to beat them.”
