Sparks protected its first-place lead in the DI-A North on Monday with a 4-0 win at Fernley.
The Railroaders improved to 13-1-1, 9-0-1 while the Vaqueros fell to 1-10-0, 1-8-0.
Four different Sparks players contributed in the road win. Eric Cervantes (assist from Genaro Vazquez), Alexis Medina (unassisted), Bryan Munoz (assist from Matthew Garcia) and Bernardo Siemental (assist from Henry Gonzalez) accounted for all scoring.
Sparks now prepares for what may prove to decide the DI-A North regular season title, on Friday, at Elko.
Reed downs North Tahoe
The Raiders picked up a non-league win on Monday at North Tahoe, 4-1.
Reed improved to 3-7-2, 2-7-2 with the win over the DIII squad.
Tyler Verdi, Dayton Farrow, Walter Orodonez and Alex Reyes all found the net for the Raiders.
The Raiders return to DI North play on Wednesday when they host McQueen at 5:30 p.m.
