Volleyball: Spanish Springs wins eighth-straight, Reed swept

Spanish Springs didn’t have any trouble at winless Hug on Thursday night.

The Cougs improved to 20-9, 10-3 in the DI North with the 25-17, 25-12, 25-19 road sweep—their eighth-straight victory.

Outside hitter Emily Moore led the Purple with nine kills and four aces. Mackenzie O’Connell finished with 23 assists, seven digs, one kill and an ace.

Spanish Springs hosts Reno on Tuesday at 6 p.m.


Raiders’ long season continues

Reed dropped to 1-16, 1-11 with a 25-16, 25-18, 25-10 home loss to McQueen on Thursday night.

The Lancers improved to 14-10, 9-3.

The Raiders host Dayton Friday night at 6 p.m. in a non-league contest before returning to DI North play next Tuesday at Hug.
