The Railroaders clinched the DI-A North regular season title on Friday night with a 2-0 win at Lowry.
The league title snapped a streak of four-straight runner-up finishes since winning the regular season title in 2011.
Sparks (16-1-4, 12-0-4) will take the No. 1 seed into next week’s regional tournament at Elko. The Railroaders earned a first-round bye and will play the winner of the South Tahoe (8-1-7) and Lowry (6-7-3) in the semifinals.
“Now let’s get ready for a new season,” Sparks coach Frank Avilla said.
After a scoreless first half, Bryan Espin put Sparks on the board in the 63rd minute with an assist from Alex Medina. Genara Vazquez added an insurance tally eight minutes later.
The Railroaders, which outscored their regular-season opponents 58-10, will go into the postseason looking to defend last year’s regional title.
