1. Carson Senators (11-5)
The Senators completed their sweep of the six High Desert League squads on Friday with a 53-40 home win over McQueen. Carson beat Spanish Springs, Reno and McQueen—the HDL’s elite—all by double digits. Carson is the team to beat right now.

2. Reno Huskies (9-5)
Reno jumps up two spots from No. 4 after going on the road and beating previously No. 2, Bishop Manogue, 71-63. The Huskies hold a one-game lead over Spanish Springs and McQueen for first place in the HDL.

3. Spanish Springs Cougars (8-6)
The Cougars were primed to make the jump to No. 2 after impressive road wins at Douglas and at Galena but remain No. 3 due to Reno’s win at Manogue. Spanish Springs plays a brutal non-league schedule every year and it appears it’s already starting to pay off this year.

4. Bishop Manogue Miners (6-6)
It was a week to forget for the Miners who lost to McQueen last Tuesday, 72-69, in overtime before falling by eight at home to Reno on Friday. Manogue has now dropped three of its last four overall.
Last Week: 2
5. McQueen Lancers (10-7)
Yes, the Lancers just beat Bishop Manogue and have a better overall record. But McQueen has dropped four of their last five overall and continues to be the most unpredictable team in Northern Nevada. Carson handled McQueen, 53-40, in Carson on Friday.
