1. Carson Senators (17-5, 12-0)
The Senators haven’t lost in six weeks. Contests at Galena on Friday and next Tuesday at home against Bishop Manogue are the biggest obstacles in the way of an undefeated run through DI North play.

2. Reno Huskies (15-5, 11-1)
Reno has rattled off eight straight wins since falling at Carson on Dec. 30. The Huskies can put the High Desert League title away with a win at Spanish Springs on Tuesday night. That one is going to feel like a playoff game.

3. Spanish Springs Cougars (13-7, 9-3)
The Cougars got off to a slow start but with four games left, the remain just two games out of first place. They will need some help to defend the HDL title, but before they can worry about that, they’ll need to beat first-place Reno at home tonight.

4. Galena Grizzlies (13-9, 7-5)
Don’t look now, but here come the defending DI North champs. The Grizzlies have won three straight and are just one game back of second place and the right to host a playoff game after topping Bishop Manogue, 53-30, at home on Friday night.

5. Bishop Manogue Miners (11-8, 8-4)
At one point this season, it looked like the Manogue would fight with Carson for the Sierra League title. Now four games back of the Senators, the Miners are one game out of falling to fourth place.
