1. Carson Senators (19-5, 14-0)
With the Sierra League title wrapped up and nothing but pride to play for, Carson went on the road and grinded out a 43-41 win at red-hot Galena on Friday night. They call that a statement win.

2. Bishop Manogue Miners (13-8, 10-4)
The Miners had to change their goals with the Senators’ clean run through DI North play but they picked up a quality 67-59 win at Douglas on Friday night and are now one win (or one Galena loss) from securing the Sierra League No. 2 seed.

3. Galena Grizzlies (14-10, 8-6)
The Grizzlies won four straight before giving the Senators their best game of the season on Friday. In narrow defeat, the young Galena team showed it’s not going to be an easy out come regional tournament time.

4. Reno Huskies (16-6, 12-2)
The eight-game winning streak came to a close last Tuesday in a loss at Spanish Springs. Reno is still in a good spot to win the High Desert League but it’s not going to have its best player, Mike Heydon, who dislocated his knee cap two weeks ago.

5. McQueen Lancers (16-9, 10-4)
The Lancers picked up a huge home win over Spanish Springs on Friday night, 60-59. With the win, McQueen moved into a tie with the Cougs for second place. If the Lancers best the short-handed Huskies at home on Friday, they will be the No. 2 seed.
