Baseball: Railroaders remain winless in DI-A North play

April 1, 2016 By Sparks Tribune Leave a Comment

The Sparks baseball team fell to 3-6, 0-5 in the DI-A North with a 10-0 loss at South Tahoe on Friday afternoon.

The Vikings improved to 1-11, 1-6 with their first league win of the season.

Sparks mustered just five hits in the loss compared to South Tahoe’s nine. Errors did the Railroaders in. They committed eight.

Matt Longland was 2-for-3 with a pair of singles in the defeat.

Sparks, which has now lost six straight, will try to get back in the win column on Saturday when it finishes the regular-season series against the Vikings with a road doubleheader.
