The Reed boys golf team entered this season without a league tournament win in over six years.
Now just three weeks in the HDL tournament circuit, it has two.
After winning the first tournament of the year, the Raiders claimed the second on Wednesday at Washoe Golf Course. They finished with a team score of 412—20 strokes better than both runners up, Reno and McQueen.
Spanish Springs (452) took fourth, North Valleys (502) finished fifth and Hug didn’t have enough golfers to turn in a team score.
Reed’s Brandon Forman fired a 77 to earn medalist honors—three strokes ahead of teammate Jayce Robinson.
Behind Forman and Robinson, Reed used the scores of Cade Baker (84), Jake Harris (85) and Nate Daylo (86).
Logan Cox shot an 84 to lead the Cougs. He was followed by Jordan Carter (88), Jake Brennan (90), Chase Martin (95) and Pat Penrod (95).
Reed will attempt to win the third HDL tournament of the season next Wednesday at Sierra Sage Golf Course.
