Spanish Springs won its second straight on Tuesday afternoon with a 2-0 victory at Bishop Manogue.
The Cougars improved to 2-3-1, 2-3-1.
Spanish Springs will attempt to make it three straight on Saturday when it hosts McQueen at 12:30 p.m. in its High Desert League opener.
Galena dumps Reed, 4-1
Reed allowed a pair of unanswered second half goals on Tuesday afternoon at Galena, falling 4-1.
With the loss in the final game against Sierra League competition, the Raiders dropped to 2-3-1, 2-3-1. The Grizzlies improved to 7-1, 6-0.
Hannah Anderson scored Reed’s lone goal in the first half.
The Raiders open against High Desert league competition on Saturday at home against North Valleys. First touch is at 12:30 p.m.
Sparks, Fallon both find net twice
Sparks played Fallon to a 2-2 home draw on Tuesday evening.
With the tie, the Railroaders moved to 4-4-1, 2-2-1 in 3A North play. The Greenwave remained winless.
Mileidy Cano and Lizeth Garcia both found the net for the Railroaders in the match that was originally scheduled for Wednesday. It was moved up a day due to a potential shortage of officials.
Sparks goes to North Tahoe on Friday.
