Sparks boys suffer falls for second time
The Railroaders (15-2-1, 8-2-1) suffered just their second loss of the season on Friday night, 2-0, at Elko.
The Indians scored both their goals in the first half, improving to 10-7-4, 6-2-3.
The win avenged a 3-2 loss at Sparks last month.
Sparks will try to bounce back on Saturday at Spring Creek.
The Railroaders beat the Spartans 3-1 earlier this season.
Sparks girls shut out
Sparks was shutout, 3-0, at home by Elko on Friday evening.
The Railroaders’ second straight loss dropped their record to 6-8-3, 3-6-3.
Sparks hosts Spring Creek on Saturday.
Reed (volleyball) sweeps Hug
Reed won its second straight on Friday night, rolling in straight sets at Hug.
The Raiders moved to 7-13, 5-8 in the 4A North with the 25-16, 25-17, 25-13 win.
Reed hosts Reno on Tuesday.
