The Raiders squandered a chance to chance to climb up the High Desert League ladder on Tuesday night.
Reed entered the home match against McQueen, a team they beat the first time around, in third place, six points behind the Lancers.
The Raiders (6-7-1, 6-7-1) now find themselves in fourth place, nine points behind the Lancers (9-4-1 in 4A North), and one point behind Spanish Springs, after a 3-1 defeat.
Because just two games remain in the regular season, Reed cannot catch McQueen. The best the Raiders can now finish is third.
They go to Hug on Saturday before the regular season finale at home against Spanish Springs next Tuesday.
Cougars blank Hawks
The Cougars slid into third place on Tuesday night with a 4-0 home win over Hug on Senior Night.
Spanish Springs (6-6-2, 6-6-2) moved one point ahead of Reed, which fell at home to McQueen on Tuesday night.
It was balanced attack for the Cougs, who scored twice on both sides of halftime.
Spanish Springs goes to first-place Reno on Thursday afternoon. First touch is at 3:30 p.m.
