Daylo cards tournament-low 74 at Somersett
Reed’s KC Daylo fired a 74 at the second High Desert League tournament of the spring on Tuesday afternoon at Somersett to earn medalist honors.
As a team, Reed, the reigning league champ, took second with a collective score of 421. Reno grabbed its second tourney title of the season with a 407. Spanish Springs (465) finished third in front of McQueen (468) and North Valleys (556). Hug only put one golfer on the course and did not compete in the team competition.
Brandon Forman (81), Jimmy Harris (84), Cade Baker (85) and Andrew Emerson (97) made up the rest of the Raiders’ card.
Logan Cox’s 81 was the lowest round turned in by a Cougar. Pat Penrod and Chase Martin both finished with 94. Nick Frankoski (97) and Austin Woods (99) ensued.
Reno can grab a share of the league title next Tuesday when the HDL circuit makes its way to Washoe.
