Defending 4A North champ Reno won the first High Desert League tournament of the year on Monday at Wildcreek Golf Course.
The competition was limited though. McQueen was the only other HDL school with enough golfers to turn in a team score. The Huskies carded a 326, 83 strokes better than the Lancers.
Reed and Spanish Springs both sent one golfer out. Reed’s Katlin Fleiner finished second overall with an 80. Her cousin, Reno’s Abbi Fleiner, earned medalist honors with a 72.
Katie Gilbertson turned in a 95 for the Cougs.
The HDL circuit makes its way to Red Hawk Golf and Resort next Wednesday.
