There have been many adjectives to describe the unfitness of president Trump to hold the highest office in the land. Even the term “crazy” has been offered as a reason for his sometimes chaotic performance. If indeed Trump is unhinged it maybe that such behavior is necessary to correct the abysmal shape of the economy that the Obama administration left him. Recovering from the “new normal” of one percent GDP that Obama left him has been a herculean task. Voters knew what they were getting in Trump because he announced his agenda when he first started running and has managed to bring most of it to fruition. Voters also knew about Trumps flamboyant personality based on his long history of adventures and misadventures. In essence, what you see is what you get when it comes to Trumps personality.
Last week the main streams media 24/7 preoccupation with Trump “bashing” was elated temporarily by coverage of hurricane Florence. The T.V. pictures of the rising surf attendant to Florence gave me a sense of déjà vu as a high schooler in Florida I witnessed two hurricanes and still remember their awesome power. As adventurous teenagers we would go to the beach and stand there braced against the increasing wind and marvel at the tumultuous surf until officials chased us home.
As to Florence, the most outrageous claim about Trump was made by morning Joe when he went off the deep end and said that Trump was complicit in creating the hurricane. As far as I know the only water event that Trump had a hand in was the copious amount of tears that untold millions of democrats shed when he was elected.
Adding to the long list of Trump adversaries it was revealed last week that Google executives were heartbroken over his win. Now we can add social media to the democrat party, the main stream media and Hollywood to the list of Trump haters. Of those haters the most vocal continues to be Democrat Maxine Waters who now has added Vice President Pence to her cry of impeachment. Despite the fact that donkey hierarchy has advised her to back off on the impeachment theme the rebel rousing Waters has not only ignored them but has increase her viscous tempo
Two bomb shell books that came out last week were authored by Bob Woodard and John Kerry. The Woodward book portrayed the Trump White House as a crazy operation. Unfortunately most of Woodward’s sources where anonymous in nature. Since he “Woodward” cut his journalistic teeth at the Washington Post, an essentially leaning publication, it is obvious that he is no fan of Trump or any other Republican for that matter. In a T.V. interview promoting his book Woodward bias may have been exposed when he claimed that one of Trump egregious acts was a disillusion of NAFTA. Woodward claimed that NAFTA had been a good deal for Mexico and for the United States. He was half right in that assumption.
In Kerry’s case his tome was sort of a biographical resume of his career. What was most interesting was that he revealed that since his retirement from the State Department he has continued to have conversations with leaders from around the world. It has been reported from reliable sources that the nature of those talks has been to wait out the next two years of the Trump presidency and hope for a democrat president to be elected in 2020 that will assure a return to the previous status quo.
Also journalistically last week a withering anonymous op-ed appeared in the New York Times, another Trump basher that purportedly came from someone high in the Trump administration. It said that there were certain members in the White House keeping a tight rein on Trumps irrational behavior. As a journalism grad from the University of Nevada I do not put much credence in anonymous sources. Former presidential candidate Herman Cain has suggested the anonymous one could actually be a New York Times employee. My best guess as to the author would be Ben Rhodes, the writer who created the Benghazi fabrication for President Obama.
Surfing for the first time recently was ex-President Barak Obama. His mission was to gin up the democrat base by knocking Trump and calling for a return “sanity” in our politics. The former president is best remembered for putting the final nail in Hilary’s coffin when he called her the most qualified person to ever run for president and that she would faithfully continue to promulgate his policies.
