Currently in America one of the more outrageous symptoms of the left is the PC culture. PC of course stands for Politically Correct and probably reached Zenith under the Obama Administration. During those dark days ”war” was called manmade disaster and the US was accused of overseas contingency operation. Another Obama favorite about doing nothing was called Strategic Patients.
Today the liberal crowd has gone overboard attacking a traditional songs. Among them being “Baby its Cold Outside”, “Santa Baby” and even “ Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer”. The Cold Outside song is deemed to sexes, Santa Baby demeans women and Rudolph decries bullying those with physical deformities.
Along with these absurdities a talking head back east has criticized parents for lying to their children about Santa Claus and the Easter bunny since it may affect their future life. Another beauty is that singer Celine Dion is issuing a line of children’s clothing that is gender neutral. Her rationale is that the little ones should all wear the same type clothing and also be impressed with the fact there is little or no difference between boys and girls.
Oddly enough the PC approach is countered by the liberal wingnuts who call themselves comedians. The most egregious of these are foul mouthed Bill Maher and scruffy Jimmy Kimmel***
OVAL OFFICE SMACK DOWN. The most riveting exposure of how Washington doesn’t work occurred recently in an camera view of the meeting between President Trump, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pilosy. While Pilosy begged the president to dismiss the cameras so that they could continue the discussion in privacy Trump retorted that is was a matter of transparency. The most uncomfortable person in the room was Schumer as he tried to make the case that The Wall was unnecessary and to expensive. Since The Wall was a primary promise of Trumps during the campaign he is sticking to it even if it means a Government shutdown. As to Schumer contention the walls don’t work perhaps he should pick up a history book and look at the story of the Great Wall of China. That wall runs some 1,300 miles and was built to keep invades out. That most of that wall is still standing is mute testimony that such an edifice does work. So far the wall at our southern border has kept the hugh caravan from entering the United States. Recent reports have the caravan slowly disappearing. ***
THE SKATEBOARDER VS THE SEPTUGENARIAN. For the first time the Democrat front runner for 2020, Joe Biden, has been surpassed by another contender in the person of Beto O-rouke. Beto was recently granted an audience with the esteemed Barack Obama to discuss his political future. Perhaps Obama will provide the necessary help in Beto’s campaign as he did in Hillary’s Possesive and the lady from Georgia. Currently in most Democrat circles an endorsement by Obama is recognized as a kiss of death. Also two persons championing Democrat contenders are Hillary and Bill Clinton. Oddly enough when the Clintons appear together on stage it reminds one of the Jack Sprat children’s poem. Actually the projected list of Democrat candidates for President grows longer each day but has yet to produce anyone who looks like a winner.***
THE SANCTIMONCOUS JIM COMEY appeared before a closed door hearing last week with the stipulation that a transcript of the hearing would be released to the public within 24 hours. That transcript revealed that the man with supposedly total recall that is abetted by coupious note-taking could not remember or knew nothing some 245 times when questioned about specific items. It was reavealed, according to Comey, that he knew nothing about the subterfuge that his underlings were conducting regarding Trump. In a TV interview immediately following the hearing Comey appeared on television and revealed his true colors when he claimed the only way out of the current national mess was to elect a Democrat in 2020.***
TRUMP MAY BE WINNING TARIFF WAR. So far as the tariff war continues Trumps seems to be racking up victory after victory. He has brought the EU, Canada and Mexico to signed negotiations. Even China, his biggest target, has recently cut the tariff on American made cars from 40 % to 15% .
