Before we get to the breaking news of last week we want to conclude the story of the Misfits visiting the Cal-Neva Lodge courtesy of Frank Sinatra.
When we left the story last week I had to inform Wingy Grober, the owner of the lodge, that in order to have Clark Gable attend the affair he would have to have the entire crew of the Misfits also invited. Grober said he would check with Frank and get back to me, true to his word he called and said Frank agreed to host the entire cast and crew. In order to transport them to the Lake we got a number of limos for the stars and several buses for the crew.
When we arrived at the Lake I was surprised to see the marquee reading HERE TONIGHT, GABLE-MONROE –CLIFT. Several klieg lights were playing on the marquee and throngs of people marked the entrance. Realizing that I would be unable to get the stars through the crowd I told the buses to stay loaded until I could take the limos around back and walk the stars threw the kitchen entrance to the showroom. Once we had done that we had the crew members positioned on a porch that adjoined the showroom. They were to wait there until Wingy could put his paying guest in the front row of the showroom. Unfortunately one of the crew members jimmied the French door between the porch and the show room thus allowing the crew to rush in and grab the premier seating. I thought Wingy might have a heart attack but I managed to assuage him by getting his picture taken with Sinatra and Monroe. This was just one of many adventures during the filming***
All of the Democrat politicians and left wing media pundits had considerable egg on their faces when the Mueller report was issued a week ago last Sunday. Just as they were scrapping it off another gooey mess hit the next day when the creepy porn lawyer, Michael Avenatti, was arrested and charged with fraud and other things on both coasts of the country. These two events were quickly followed by Chicago prosecutors dropping all charges against hoax TV actor Jussie Smollett.
On the first incident A.G. Barr released a summary of the Mueller report. In that report he noted that Mueller could find no collusion between Trump or any of his team with the Russian interference in the Presidential election. In fact Mueller exonerated President Trump.
In the second part of the Mueller report it was noted that he could not determine whether Trump had committed obstruction or had not committed obstruction.
In spite of the conclusion that there was no collusion, brilliant members of Congress said that they wanted the entire report released with the underlying investigative notes. Dem members such as Schiff and Swalwell immediately stated they had seen evidence of collusion, which they have yet to produce, and began trashing A.G. Barr. These two geniuses seem to think they have more intuitive investigatory skill then Mueller and his entire team. They were quickly joined by Congressman Nadler who said he wanted everything connected with the report released within a matter of days. Apparently this trio doesn’t do their home work since there are certain protocols that exit as to how much of the report can be made public.
In the matter of Avenatti, who was once the darling of the liberal media and who was touted to be a strong Presidential Contender against Trump, flamed out in a series of charges that could land him in jail for the next 100 years. Allegedly Avenatti embezzled from his clients and secured phony bank loans in order to live an extremely lavish life style. Even Stormy Daniels, the porn star he represented, finally had enough and ended up firing him***
In the Smollett matter to everyone’s amazement all charges were dropped which infuriated Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, and the Chicago Police plus the general public. With the record of the case being sealed there is no way to find out the reason that the case was closed.
Smollett agreed to surrender the $10,000.00 bond he put out and was lauded for the community service he had performed.
However some interesting information has leaked out about the fact that the Chief Prosecutor exchanged e-mails about the case with a former assistant of Michelle Obama. Along with the e-mails is a striking photo of the Obama’s with Smollett with no date as to when it was taken. Smollett may face further charges from the FBI involving mail fraud.
