University of Nevada senior Caleb Martin has been to the Associated Press honorable mention All-America team. Martin is a repeat selection to the team having earned the honor after the Wolf Pack’s Sweet 16 run last season.
He was part of the two most successful consecutive seasons in school history going 29-5 each year for a combined record of 58-10. The Pack won the Mountain West regular season title each season and made two trips to the NCAA Tournament.
Martin from Mocksville, N.C. averaged a team-high 19.2 points per game and grabbed 5.1 rebounds per contest playing in all 34 games and starting 33 for the Wolf Pack. From the field he shot 41 percent, 33.8 from behind the arc and 73.2 percent from the free throw line.
He led the Pack in scoring a team-high 15 times as did his 31 double figure scoring contests. The 6-7 guard topped the team with 18 games of 20 or more points which includes a career-high 33 points at Utah and 30 at home against Boise State.
He finished his career 16th in scoring at Nevada with 1,334 points. In his college career he scored 1,886 points in 139 college games, 70 games at Nevada and 69 at North Carolina State.
