After celebrating its Senior Day prior to first pitch, Nevada (25-23, 11-16 MW) fell to Fresno State (30-13-1, 15-7-1 MW) on Sunday afternoon 8-2. The Wolf Pack will head to San Jose State for its final conference series of the year this weekend.
Prior to the contest, Nevada honored seniors Bradley Bonnenfant, Weston Hatten, Kaleb Foster, Keaton Smith, Cooper Powell and the memory of Austin Gorrell as the Pack celebrated Senior Day.
Three opening-inning runs by the Bulldogs were enough to last them the rest of the game, as the Pack was only able to cross home plate twice. One of those runs scored came in the second inning, thanks to an RBI single that scored Otis Statum Jr. after his double.
Jake Jackson, who started the game for the Pack, suffered the loss.
The Pack will look for a huge weekend in San Jose as they face the Spartans and look to make one last push toward the Mountain West tournament.
