The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County will start roadway construction in Sparks on Wednesday, July 10. The project, called Sparks Consolidated 19-01, will reconstruct and rehabilitate sections of roadways in Sparks, improving pavement conditions and adding new sidewalks and pedestrian safety enhancements.
While there are no road closures at this time, drivers can expect to see cones and minor lane shifts on El Rancho Drive between G Street to Oddie Boulevard and on 15th Street from C Street to Prater Way. As work progresses, some closures and detours may be necessary to safely complete work on the projects.
Later this summer, the RTC will begin construction on two more Sparks roadways as part of the project: Franklin Way (from the Union Pacific Railroad Crossing to East Greg Street) and Hulda Court.
Construction will take approximately three months to complete.
