Associated Press

RENO — A small, windwhipped brush fire destroyed a mobile home north of Reno last Wednesday.

The fire that destroyed the mobile home in Cold Springs also destroyed two or three out-buildings and damaged nearby structures before crews stopped forward progress of the flames Wednesday afternoon, the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District said.

No injuries were reported but some vehicles also were lost in the fire that broke out shortly about 1:30 p.m. and burned about 1.5 acres (0.6 hectares) east of U.S. Highway 395 and west of Spanish Springs Airport.

Details of the other damage weren’t immediately available. The cause of the fire is unknown.
