Cougs stay in first place after win over Reed

The Spanish Springs girls celebrate after a goal during a 3-2 win over Reed Saturday.

The Spanish Springs girls had two goals in the first half and one in the second on Saturday as they topped Reed 3-2.

Alyssa Grundy finished with two goals while Alyssa Marlow netted the other and included an assist.

Cerese McMillan and Allison Tullis recorded assists in the win.

The Cougs (7-3, 4-0) are in first place in the 4A Northern Conference, and play next against McQueen on Oct. 19. The Raiders (6-6-2, 2-1-1) play next at McQueen Oct. 15.
