After an exciting finish to the regular season, the 4A football playoffs are set in Northern Nevada.
The High Desert League crown and top seed for the came down to a pair of Sparks schools last Friday as Reed hit the road to play Spanish Springs. The Cougs came out on top 32-28 in the back and forth contest after Tristan Szabo connected on a short touchdown pass to receiver Mason Bebout with 15 seconds left in the game.

The Raiders led 14-12 at half and 28-19 after three quarters, but Spanish Springs scored 13 unanswered in the final quarter to come away with the win. It was their seventh straight after dropping the first three games of the season.
Elijah Tau-Oliver rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns in the loss for Reed.
The win gave Spanish Springs (7-3, 4-0) the division crown while Reed (5- 4, 2-2) finished in second place with Reno (7-3, 2-2) and McQueen (4-5, 2-2). The Raiders won the tiebreaker and earned the No. 2 seed and will play the No. 3 seed Douglas out of the Sierra League Friday at home at 7 p.m. The Sierra League No. 1 seed Damonte Ranch hosts No. 4 Reno on the same night.
In the top half of the bracket, No. 1 Spanish Springs welcomes No. 4 Wooster and No. 2 Bishop Manogue will battle No. 3 McQueen on Friday night.
The winners of those game will move on to the northern semifinals Nov. 15, with the regional title game set for Nov. 22.
