Sparks City Council members accepted a $120,000 donation from the Reno Rodeo Association Monday to help fund a new all-inclusive park at the Sparks Marina. The donation helps fill a funding gap for the estimated $850,000 park, following the Sparks Rotary Club’s recent $80,000 donation and budgeted dollars from the City of Sparks capital improvement fund of $550,000. “We are grateful for this extraordinary donation from the Reno Rodeo Association,” said Sparks Mayor Ron Smith. “This, in addition to the generous donation from the Sparks Rotary Club, get us one step closer to building this important all-inclusive park at the Sparks Marina.”
