The Outlets at Legends will kick off the holiday season with their 11th annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. Festivities begin at 6 p.m., and the first 250 children will receive a special gift. Santa will make an appearance at the tree lighting followed by a firework show.
The Outlets at Legends is also hosting Lights of Kindness presented by The Nevada Diabetes Association Nov. 30 through Dec. 7 from 2:30 to 8:30 p.m. each day. The annual event, located next to Grimaldi’s at the Outlets at Legends, is free and features a holiday forest, hot cocoa, train rides and photo opportunities with Santa.
Each decorated tree in the holiday forest will represent a local charity. Attendees can vote for their favorite decorated tree, for a $1 donation with all proceeds going to that tree’s non-profit. Businesses interested in decorating a tree for a good cause have until Nov. 29 to sign up.
“Amelia Earhart once said, ‘a single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees.’ We hope this year’s event is just the beginning of giving this season and spurs new roots in new directions in our community,” said Tara Winkelman, director of programs at Nevada Diabetes Association.
