So much has happened in this season’s NFL…Tom Brady announced his retirement, the Los Angeles Rams are playing NFL’s biggest event on their home field after beating the 49ers in the NFC Championship, and the last time the Cincinnati Bengals vied for the Lombardi Trophy was back in 1989. With a West Coast team playing the Big Game on West Coast turf, you can imagine that there will be a lot of West Coast parties going on. Here are a few lively places in Sparks to root for your favorite team:
Baldini’s Casino, 865 S. Rock Blvd.
At The Book at Baldini’s, sports bettors receive decent payouts on their picks, have access to a “ties never lose” parlay card, and “off the board” teasers on football. Download its mobile sports app and get a 20 percent sign up bonus (up to $200) of your first opening deposit. Rumor has it Baldini’s is also very liberal with the drink tickets when you hang out in its sportsbook. www.baldinissports.com
Rail City Casino
Between its slot machines, table games, Ale House, or The Pit Lounge, there are plenty of entertainment opportunities in Rail City Casino before and after the game. Saddle up in a plush leather lounge chair in its William Hill Sportsbook facing on of the many HD TV’s to watch all the action and keep tabs on your favorite team. https://www.railcity.com/
Western Village Inn & Casino
Not only can you stay at Western Village on the days leading up to and after the Big Game, but you have access to a full casino, a variety of dining options, and a big league cabaretstyle seating sports book to hang out in complete with a 13-panel LED display boards, a high-resolution video wall, HDTV’s, and an action-packed sports bar close by. Plus, the Sparks Marina is in walking distance so you can go out and get some sunshine during breaks. https://www.westernvillagesparks.com/
Great Basin Brewing Co.
Perched above its 19 beers on tap are a few TVs to gaze at while you sip on a Weiz-Guy or Wild Horse Amber Ale. You better believe that they’ll have the game on and watching football pairs nicely with a brew and some Willy Dillys made by the Nevada Brining Co., also right here in Sparks. www.greatbasinbrewingco. com
Flowing Tide Pub 4
As its fourth out of seven pubs in the Northern Nevada region, the Flowing Tide Sparks location is open 24 hours, allows smoking for those 21 and up (a non-smoking family section is available as well), and offers darts, party platters, pool tables, video gaming, and breakfast. It also has several big screen TVs, making it a popular place to go for a brew and to watch some NFL. https://flowingtidepub.com/
Nugget Casino Resort
Leave the snacks, drinks, and quality TV screen to the Nugget to supply while you watch the Big Game in comfort. The Nugget is hosting two viewing parties for people ages 21 and older. The viewing party in the Grand Ballroom costs $85 per person and includes watching the game on giant TVs, stadium food, and bottomless drinks, including beer and spirits. Or opt for the Game On version for only $70 which includes stadium food and bottomless draft Budweiser and Bud Light beer. Reservations are recommended to attend the Big Game Viewing Parties, to-go orders are not allowed, and masks are required when not eating or drinking. Consider staying the night at the hotel if you’re most interested in the “bottomless drink” aspect of the Big Game. https://www.nuggetcasinoresort.com/
