Adventures abound at the Sparks Heritage Museum on Saturday, April 1 as the museum welcomes Samantha Szesciorka of the Nevada Discovery Ride. Samantha has made three long-distance journeys across the State of Nevada on horseback with her horses Fremont and Sage, and her trusty canine companion Juniper. Her efforts at logging thousands of trail miles and exploring Nevada by “hoof, foot, and paw,” have resulted in knowledge of the landscape of Nevada like few others.
Samantha joins us to share some of the best stories from her three long-distance treks across Nevada – her “Tales from the Trail,” and further presents her journeys through a new exhibit at the Museum, featuring gear, objects, photos, and other ephemera related to her adventures across the state of Nevada.
This event will take place at the Sparks Heritage Museum, beginning at 4 p.m. with an exhibit opening in the Research Center, and wine & hors d’oeuvres in the upper gallery, followed at 5 p.m. with a presentation by Samantha Szesciorka. This special event admission price of $20 supports the Sparks Heritage Museum and the Nevada Discovery Ride. Tickets are available to purchase online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/tales-from-the-trail-an-evening-with-samantha-szesciorka-tickets-570298416917?aff=ebdssbdestsearch.
