A magnitude 4.7 earthquake rattled an area near Silver Springs Wednesday. It was felt in the greater Sparks area and followed up with at least four notable tremors ranging from 2.6 to 4.8 magnitude. The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the quake in Silver Springs, NV, on Monday was measured at magnitude 5.7. The quake occurred at a depth of about 10 kilometers. Trailblazer Sue Wagner dies at 86
The first woman elected lieutenant governor in Nevada, Sue Wagner, has died at the age of 86. In the mid-1970s through the 80s, Wagner served on the Nevada Legislature.
