The City of Sparks brings a fresh new twist to recreational sports with a kickball league just for adults. The popular schoolyard game is a fun option for men and women who want to socialize and be active without the competition required of a sport like softball or basketball. Teams consist of 10 players on the field, but everyone can be in the line-up to kick.
Registration to join the spring league runs through April 15. The cost is $350 per team for a 10 game schedule with double headers. Space is limited.
Kickball games will be held on Monday evenings, May 1 – June 26, between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. at the Sports Complex at Golden Eagle Regional Park, 6400 Vista Blvd.
Register for the Spring Kickball League at the Alf Sorensen Community Center, 1400 Baring Blvd. Office hours are Monday/Wednesday, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday/Thursday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. For more information call (775) 353-2385 or email sportsinfo@cityofsparks.us.
